NYTF 2017: DC Collectibles Reveals and Highlights

This year at New York Toy Fair, DC Collectibles revealed plenty of excellent additions to some of their greatest lines, as well as some brand new statues and collectibles to celebrate the upcoming Justice League and Wonder Woman films and Wonder Woman’s 75th anniversary. We had the opportunity to take a look at their 2017 product line this weekend, and we’re thrilled to share some highlights with you!

For any DC fan, it’s certainly incredible to see the Justice League finally united in live action for this year’s Justice League film– and now we’ve got our first look at them in statue form! DC Collectibles’ incredibly detailed and high-quality 12″ line of Justice League statues, available this fall, will allow fans to collect and display their favorite heroes like never before. Check out the gallery above to get a closer look at Ben Affleck’s Batman in his new tactical suit, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill’s Superman, Ray Fisher’s Cyborg, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, and Ezra Miller’s version of The Flash.

Also hitting screens this year is Wonder Woman, which will debut this June. Timed to the film’s release will be several exciting collectibles, including statues of Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor, and a gorgeously dynamic equestrian piece featuring Diana riding into battle.

Of course, in celebration of Wonder Woman’s 75th anniversary, DC Collectibles is pulling out all the stops, with new additions to the DC Designer Series, Gotham City Garage line, and more! I can’t think of a more fitting way to commemorate the rich history of our favorite Amazon princess.

While we’re on the topic of the women of DC, we’d be remiss not to mention the anti-hero dearest to our hearts, Harley Quinn. For Harley’s 25th anniversary, DC Collectibles has some amazing “Black, White, and Red” statues based on Terry Dodson and Jim Lee’s designs on the character, as well as a new Bombshells 12″ statue, and a fun and unique bookend set that plays off the character’s quirky and irreverent personality. There’s also an absolutely stunning Batman vs. Harley Quinn Battle Statue, which pits the Dark Knight against the Clown Princess of Crime (and her hyenas Bud and Lou) atop an explosive-lined roller coaster car. Other highlights for Harley fans include a new display based on the title card of the Batman: the Animated Series episode “Harley’s Holiday” and (a personal favorite) a 12″ Alex Ross-inspired Suicide Squad statue featuring Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and Jared Leto’s Joker.

Last but certainly not least are a few extra additions to DC Collectibles’ 6″ figure line, Designer Series, and Super Pets plush. Fans can expand their Batman the Animated Series collections in style with the new Batcave diorama coming this fall. For those who are more villainously inclined, there’s a great new Batman the Animated Series villain set on the way, featuring four of the Caped Crusader’s most dangerous foes (Bane, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, and Mr. Freeze) and the GCPD’s own Renee Montoya to keep them in check.

On the Rebirth end of things, DC Collectibles showed off a new DC Icons Justice League set, as well as 6″ Super Sons figures based on Peter Tomasi’s acclaimed comic, and  a DC Designer Series statue of Aquaman and Mera based on the iconic cover by Patrick Gleason. Also new to the DC Designer Series is a statue of Joker based on Brian Bolland’s work in The Killing Joke, a perennial classic made all the more timely by this past summer’s animated adaptation.

As an adorable parting note, we’re proud to showcase some new friendly faces in the DC Super Pets plush line, including the Jokerized hyenas Crackers and Giggles, and one of our favorite Bat-family members, Batcow! These cuddly cuties will be available in the spring–so keep an eye out!
