Batman Mask Review

As part of our celebration of Michael Keaton’s birthday and the 25th anniversary of Batman (1989), let’s take a look at one of my favorite costume pieces (and that’s not just because I’m a Batman fan, I promise!)– Batman’s mask. This version (courtesy of Anytime Costumes) fits like a dream, and certainly makes you feel like Batman while wearing it! Granted, it’s no costume on its own, but I’d sooner pick up a high-quality mask like this one on its own and build the costume off it than pay for a “full costume” that’s not as well put-together.

That, by the way is definitely do-able, given the mask’s relatively low price point of $33. It’s cheaper, believe it or not, to combine this with other Batman items (or build your own) for Halloween or Comic-Con than it is to buy certain costumes. In fact, it’s going to form an integral part of my personal cosplay for New York Comic Con this year (and possibly another convention or two!) but you’ll have to wait and see just how it’ll play in!

Needless to say, this Batman mask by Anytime Costumes is among the more intricately detailed (and comfortable) Bat-cowls out there. It covers the whole head, not just the face, and wraps around the neck as well for all-around coverage and an authentic feel. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to feel like the Bat himself, whether at a convention, Halloween, or costume party.
