In an interview (above) with Total Film for the upcoming movie Rio 2, Anne Hathaway was asked about her Rio co-star Jesse Eisenberg’s upcoming role as Lex Luthor in Batman vs. Superman. Drawing from her experience playing Selina Kyle/Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, Hathaway gave Eisenberg the following advice:

“Don’t be afraid to make it your own. In my case, people criticized, criticized, criticized until they saw it, and then a lot of people liked what I did. Don’t listen to anyone, do your thing. They cast you for a reason.”
