According to Latino Review, we could be seeing more heroes than just Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film. The site claims that sources close to the production have revealed that the movie is keeping a casting eye out for “a black actor in his early 20s who is also physically fit.” This information lends itself toward speculation of a hero role in the works, especially when you consider that the same sources claim that the role will be a small cameo part in Batman vs. Superman but will also be a recurring role in the DC Cinematic Universe. Could it be Cyborg? John Stewart? Even Nightwing has been rumored…
Still, my money’s on Cyborg (or at the very least Victor Stone for the cameo in BvS), as director Zack Snyder is reportedly courting Michael B. Jordan for the role. Jordan has already played Cyborg in Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, and the “early 20s” age they’re looking for also supports Cyborg more than, say, Stewart. Still, as with any casting possibilities, all we can do is wait it out until something’s officially stated.
