News from Gotham! A casting spec for the show, via Comic Book Movie, reveals some details about the “series regular” young Bruce Wayne that they’re looking for, while also leaking the fact that shooting will begin next month.

If you didn’t click over to read that, it describes Bruce as “soulful, wise, strong willed… [and] with tragic gravitas.” Sounds interesting, but it also sounds like they could be putting a little too much of the grown Bruce Wayne into his younger self. Maybe that’s just my love of Earth One talking, or maybe it’s the desire to see a little bit of change in Bruce’s arc instead of just “oh he was dark and mysterious the whole time, even when he was little.” Either way, I’m interested in how Gotham is going to pull this prequel/origin angle off.
