CollegeHumor‘s offshoot site Dorkly.com recently concluded their “Greatest Fictional Detective of All Time” poll, and I think we all know who took the #1 spot… none other than Batman, of course!

While it’s really not a surprise that Batman won, it is nevertheless an impressive victory, considering that his competitors included such pop culture and literary classics as Watchmen‘s Rorschach, Dick Tracy, Lt. Frank Drebin of Police Squad and The Naked Gun, the Scooby Gang, and Sherlock Holmes himself. Congratulations to the Caped Crusader (as well as all the contest’s runners-up)!
